Governor Livingston 12 Del Val 2

Governor Livingston (22-6) the 3 seed in Central Jersey Group 2 was able to take advantage of 7 Del Val errors and scored 6 unearned runs to advance to next round with a 12-2 win. Jaden Corbin led the Terriers going 2 for 3 at the plate, with a Double, and Run Scored. Stoy Fohring was 1 for 1 with a Double, and threw out a runner trying to steal. Del Val finished the season with a record of 9-12.

Voorhees 6 Del Val 2

Michael Kelly Led the Terrier offense going 2 for 3 with a Double, Walk, Run Scored, and a Stolen Base. Anthony Saniscalchi was also 2 for 4 with a Double and an RBI. Chris Stavac scored the other Run for Del Val, and was 1 for 2 at the plate. Sophomore Pitchers Manny Modugno and Kevin Hults did a nice job on the mound keeping the Voorhees offense led by 13 Seniors off balance most of the night.

Del Val 8 Gill St. Bernards 7

Del Val trailed 4-0 until John Croasdale hit a 3 Run HR in the third inning to make it 4-3. Michael Kelly then Homered in the 5th inning to give the Terriers a 5-4 lead. After giving up 3 runs in the top of the 7th the Terriers were in a big hole. The comeback win was started with back to back singles by Reardon and Kelly, and a walk by Corbin to load the bases. Sean Donnelly singled in the first run, then Hartung was HBP to tie the game and set the stage for Aaron Weinhold. Weinhold hit a full count hard grounder to second base that scored the winning run, as the Terrier bench stormed the field.

P'Burg 3 Del Val 1

Pitcher Zach Erling and the Del Val defense took P'burg into the 6th inning tied at 1-1, but the Terrier offense wasn't enough to over come a Stateliners run in the 6th and another in the 7th. Junior Anthony Saniscalchi was 1 for 3 with a Run Scored and a Walk, Junior Michael Kelly and Sophomore Manny Modugno produced the only other Terrier hits on a quiet offensive night at the plate.

Warren Hills 6 Del Val 5

Del Val loaded the bases in the bottom of the second inning with no outs and came away with no runs. The trend continued throughout the game as the Terriers stranded 5 more runners in scoring position. The defense also struggled in the middle innings making 7 errors and giving up 6 unearned runs. Saniscalchi was 1 for 2 with a Run Scored, 2 Walks, and a Stolen Base. Kelly was also 1 for 2 with a Run Scored, 2 HBP, an RBI, and 2 Stolen Bases. Corbin was 1 for 3 with a Double, 2 Stolen Bases and a Walk.

Del Val 9 Manville 5

Game MVP Michael Kelly hit a Grand Slam half way up the trees in right field in the bottom of the 2nd inning to give the Terriers a 9-2 lead. John Croasdale stayed hot at the plate going 2 for 3 with a Double, Triple, RBI, and Scored Twice. Croasdale has 6 hits on the week with 4 Extra Base Hits. Jaden Corbin Singled, Walked twice, Scored a Run, and Stole 2 Bases to also help lead the Terrier offensive attack. Jack Reardon earned the win on the mound.

Bernards 5 Del Val 4

Game MVP Jaden Corbin was 2 for 3 at the plate with a Double, Triple, and Scored a Run. Corbin also had a perfect day in the field at short stop with 5 assists and 2 put outs. Jack Reardon was 2 for 3, and Michael Kelly Homered in the top of the 7th to make it a 5-4 game and keep the Terriers alive. Although Del Val defense worked out of a bases loaded, no outs jam in the bottom of the 5th, but they couldn't overcome giving up 5 runs, 1 earned, on a 5 error day.

Del Val 7 Princeton Day 2

Game MVP John Croasdale led the Terriers in a 7-2 win over Princeton Day. He was 3 for 4 with 2 Doubles, 2 RBI, a Run Scored, and a Stolen Base. Justin Kolpan had a dominating performance on the mound with 9 strike outs in 5 innings of work and gave up no runs. Kolpan was also 2 for 2 at the plate with 3 Stolen Bases, an RBI, a Run Scored, and a Walk. Fohring and Saniscalchi also Doubled on the day.

Hackettstown 11 Del Val 3

Jack Reardon was 1 for 1 with an RBI Sac Fly. Justin Kolpan was 1 for 1 with a Run Scored, Double, Stolen Base, and a Walk. Anthony Saniscalchi was 1 for 3 with a Run Scored, and a Stolen Base. Jaden Corbin was 1 for 2 with a Run Scored, and a Stolen Base. Kevin Hults made his first appearance on the mound this season to close the game striking out 3 of the last 4 batters.

Del Val 6 South Hunterdon 3

Saniscalchi led off the game with a solo HR in the bottom of the 1st inning to give the Terriers an early lead. Hartung doubled to lead off the 2nd inning and scored on Hults RBI single to left. Then Game MVP Jaden Corbin Homered to push the lead to 3-0 after 2 innings. Kolpan hit a solo HR in the bottom of the 5th to extend the Terrier lead to 4-1. Reardon was 2 for 3 at the plate with a double, Saniscalchi and Corbin had 2 RBI each, and Erling Picked up his 3rd win of the season on the mound.

Pingry 6 Del Val 5

In the third inning Anthony Saniscalchi had an RBI Double, and scored when Jack Reardon hit a deep sac fly to left center that helped give Del Val an early 2-1 lead. In the top of the seventh down 6-2 with the bases loaded, Game MVP Jack Reardon doubled to the right center gap to bring the Terriers within a run, but Del Val was unable to get the tying run across the plate, and fell to undefeated Pingry 6-5.

Del Val 16 Manville 5

Game MVP John Croasdale led a 12 hit attack and the Terriers to a 16-5 win in Manville. He was 3 for 4 at the plate with a Double, Triple, 2 Runs Scored, a Stolen Base, and 4 RBI. Anthony Saniscalchi continues to stay hot at the plate going 3 for 5, with 3 Runs Scored, a Double, 2 Stolen Bases, and 2 RBI. Jack Reardon was 2 for 3 with a Double, 2 RBI, a Run Scored, and a Walk. Aaron Weinhold also hit an RBI Double to the left center fence.

Game MVP Anthony Saniscalchi led off the game with a triple to right center, and then scored on a Michael Kelly ground out. Senior Greg Hartung reached base twice by walk and hit by pitch. Jaden Corbin made the Web Gem Play of the Game, diving up the middle fielding a ground ball and throwing out the runner at first.

Del Val 9 Belvidere 3

Game MVP Jaden Corbin was 3 for 4 with 4 stolen bases, scored a run, and had an RBI. Sophomore Pitcher Manny Modugno recorded his first career Varsity win. Senior Logan Gossett was 2 for 3, scored a run, and had an RBI.

Del Val 4 Bound Brook 2

Game MVP Junior Pitcher Justin Kolpan battled through a 112 pitch complete game leading the Terriers to the win. Kolpan dominated the Crusaders with complete command recording 13 strike outs, 1 walk, on 3 hits, and gave up 1 earned run. Michael Kelly led the Terrier offense with 2 RBI, and John Croasdale also had an RBI.

Del Val 8 South Hunterdon 2

Del Val was led by Game Co-MVPs Senior Jaden Corbin and Junior Anthony Saniscalchi. They sucked up everything in the middle infield combining for two double plays and ten put outs. Saniscalchi was also 3 for 4 at the plate with an RBI, 2 Runs Scored, a double, and a walk. Zach Erling went 6 strong innings to get the win on the mound.

South Hunterdon 7 Del Val 0

Game MVP Senior Chris Stavac was 1 for 1 with a walk and 2 stolen bases. Anthony Saniscalchi was 1 for 3 with a stolen base. Pitcher Michael Kelly walked twice, stole 2 bases, and in 4 innings he struck out 7 and only gave up 1 earned run.

Hackettstown 11 Del Val 6

Game MVP Junior Michael Kelly reached base 3 times, Scored a run, and had an RBI. Junior Anthony Saniscalchi also reached base 3 times and scored a run. Senior Chris Stavac had his first Varsity career hit.

Pingry 5 Del Val 0

Game MVP Junior Justin Kolpan broke up a no hitter in the 6th inning with a double off the fence in left center. He also had 2 stolen bases on the day. Pitcher Zach Erling had another great outing giving up 1 unearned run in 5 innings. Catcher Stoy Fohring made 2 bigs plays in the game throwing out a runner stealing third and picking off a runner at first. Sophomore outfielder Kevin Hults also had a spectacular play throwing out a runner at the plate from right field.

Bound Brook 6 Del Val 0

Del Val lost the season opener to Bound Brook and Ace Jake Anderson, an NJIT commit who consistently threw upper 80s in his 113 pitch outing. Sophomore Catcher Stoy Fohring was the Game MVP for the Terriers. He went 2 for 3 at the plate, and had a solid day defensively throwing out 2 runners trying to steal second. Senior Greg Hartung, and Junior Joey Kletter collected their first Varsity hits of their career.

Del Val 21 Belvidere 0

Game MVP Junior Pitcher Justin Kolpan gave up no hits through 5 innings before giving way to Senior Logan Gossett to complete the no hitter. Kolpan finished with 10 strike outs, and Gossett finished with 3 strikeouts 1 walk. Joey Kletter, Anthony Saniscalchi, and Manny Modugno each finished with 2 hits on the day to lead the Terrier offense. Kletter also had 4 of the Terriers 13 stolen bases.
