Sean Hanczaryk Night Del Val 6 P'Burg 5

Game MVP Austin Piscitelli goes 3 for 4, scored twice, and helped set the table in the bottom of the 7th for a comeback walk off win for the Terriers. Austin also robbed P'Burg of a run scoring single in the 6th. Justin Kolpan's 1 out single in the 7th made the score 5-4. A bases loaded walk to Jack Cariddi tied the game at 5-5 to set up Michael Kelly's walk off single. Jack Cariddi and Collin Becker had 2 RBI each.

Athlete of the Month Jack Cariddi

Senior Captain Jack Cariddi plays Catcher, and leads the team in Batting Average .533, RBI 24, Hits 24, and Doubles 9. He has been recognized as one of the top players in the state, and will be playing in the NJ State Senior All-Star Game on June 15th. Next year he will be playing baseball for Methodist University in North Carolina.

Del Val won 12-0 in 5 innings. Zac Erling got the win on the mound for the Terriers. Five players had multiple hits, Justin Kolpan 3, Ryan Stephens 3, Collin Becker 2, Michael Kelly 2, and Matt Badolato 2. The Game MVP is Justin Kolpan, 3 for 3, 2 Walks, 2 RBI, 2 Runs, and 2 Stolen Bases.

Del Val 14 Bound Brook 1

Jack Cariddi is our Game MVP! He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI, 2 Runs, and a Stolen Base. Justin Kolpan got the win on the mound giving up 1 unearned run, 7 strike outs, 3 hits, and 3 walks. Michael Kelly was 2 for 3 and reached on HBP. Gavin Walker closed the game out striking out 3 of the last 4 batters.

Del Val 18 Manville 8

Freshmen Jack Reardon earned his first win on the mound and led the 3-0 Terriers to their third win. Ryan Stephens was our Game MVP! He was 3 for 4, with 6 RBI, 4 Stolen Bases, and 2 Runs scored. Austin Piscitelli had 3 RBI, and 4 Stolen Bases. Jack Cariddi had 3 RBI. Jonathan Giordano was 2 for 5, with a Double, 2 RBI, 2 Runs Scored, and 3 Stolen Bases. Matt Badolato also had 2 RBI.

Del Val 6 Pingry 0

In a battle of undefeated teams playing for the division lead, Del Val jumped on Pingry in the first inning when Jack Cariddi hit an RBI double down the line that helped build a 3-0 lead. Game MVP Zach Erling threw a complete game shutout, only allowing 4 base runners to preserve the 6-0 win. The Del Val defense led by shortstop Ryan Stephens was also outstanding all day.

Del Val 8 South Hunterdon 4

Starting pitcher Justin Kolpan improved to 2-0 on the mound, with 5 Ks, 4 BBs, and 2 Hits. Starting Catcher and Game MVP Jack Cariddi helped the Terriers stay unbeaten at 5-0. He was 2 for 3, with 2 Doubles, and 2 RBI. Giovanni Marinelli was 2 for 4, with a Double, 2 RBI, and a Run Scored. Collin Becker was 2 for 5 with a Double. Joey Kletter led the JV team to a win with a Grand Slam into the trees at South Hunterdon!

Del Val 13 Belvidere 0

Del Val remains unbeaten at 6-0. Starting Pitcher Gavin Walker earned the win striking out 6 in 3 innings of work. Game MVP Jack Cariddi was 3 for 3 with a triple and 4 RBI. Gio Marinelli broke the game open with a 2 run HR in the third inning. Closer Jack Sutter Slammed the door shut striking out 5 batters in two innings of work, and preserved the shutout win for the Terriers.

Del Val 11 Bound Brook 1

Starting Pitcher and Game CO-MVP Gio Marinelli Led Del Val to the win with 8 strikeouts, 3 walks, 1 earned run on 3 hits. Game CO-MVP Logan Gossett closed out Bound Brook with 4 strikeouts, 1 walk, 1 hit, and no runs. Logan was also 2 for 2 at the plate.

Del Val 10 Manville 1

Game MVP Collin Becker was 2 for 4, with 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI to lead the Terriers to their 8th straight win. Gio Marinelli squeezed in the first run of the game in the second inning, was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI, and a Stolen Base. Michael Kelly also had 2 hits, a walk, RBI, and 2 Stolen Bases. Jack Reardon improved to 2-0 on the mound for the 8-0 Terriers.

Pingry 4 Del Val 0

Zach Erling led the Terriers into the 5th inning only giving up 1 hit and no runs. Pingry scored 4 in the bottom of the 5th and held on for the win. The Del Val JV team defeated Pingry 11-10. The JV Terriers came back from down 10-6 to take the lead in the top of the 7th. They were led by Chris Stavac who hit a 3 run HR, and solid pitching from Manny Mudugno and Kevin Hults.

Del Val 5 South Hunterdon 4

Del Val Clinched a share of the Division Championship with the win, and improved to 9-1. Game CO-MVP Collin Becker was 2 for 3 with a HR and played outstanding defense at third base. Game CO-MVP Gavin Walker was 3 for 3 with 2 triples and 2 RBI. Gavin also Earned a save on the mound as he closed out South Hunterdon the last 2 and 1/3 innings.

Del Val 12 North Plainfield 5

Game MVP Ryan Stephens was 2 for 3, with 3 RBI, 2 Runs Scored, 3 Stolen Bases, and 2 Walks. Logan Gossett recorded his first Career win on the mound for the Terriers. Terriers are now 10-1!

Del Val 4 Gill St. Bernards 3

Game CO-MVP Austin Piscitelli was 3 for 4, and scored the go ahead run in the top of the 7th. With 2 outs, Austin stole 3rd base, and scored when the ball got away from the third baseman to give Del Val the lead 4-3. Closing Pitcher and Game CO-MVP Gavin Walker shut down Gill the last 2.2 innings not allowing any hits or runs. Jack Cariddi was 2 for 3 with a walk.

Del Val 12 Wallkill Valley 2

Game MVP Justin Kolpan got the win on the mound (4-0), and was 4 for 4 with a 2 run HR, 2 RBI, 2 Runs Scored and a Stolen Base. Gavin Walker Homered, had 3 RBI, and Scored twice. Austin Piscitelli was 2 for 3 with 2 Doubles, and 2 RBI. Michael Kelly also had 2 hits, a Double and an RBI. Del Val (12-1) plays North Hunterdon on Tuesday in the Quarterfinal round of the HWS Tournament.

Del Val 5 North Hunterdon 2

Del Val advances to the HWS Tournament Semi-finals for the third straight season with a 5-2 win over North Hunterdon. The Terriers scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th to break a 2-2 tie. Del Val was led by Starting pitcher Zach Erling and closer Gavin Walker. Defensive Game MVP Austin Piscitelli robbed several North hitters throughout the game with diving catches and great range. Offensive Game MVPs Collin Becker and Jack Cariddi both had 2 hits each, and combined for 3 RBI. Ryan Stephans reached base three times and scored twice.

Del Val 7 Voorhees 6

The Vikings (15-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Terriers (14-2) were able to get on the scoreboard. Del Val scored 4 Runs in the third inning to close the gap, and then took the lead scoring 3 more Runs in the fourth inning. The Games Co-MVP was Jack Cariddi who was 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI, and a walk. Michael Kelly also chipped in 2 RBI to help the cause. Winning Pitcher and Co-MVP Gio Marinelli pitched the last 4 innings, and shut down the Potent Voorhees offensive attack, Striking Out 6, allowing 2 Hits, and 1 Earned Run. Gio also Doubled to start the Terrier comeback in the third inning.

Game MVP Austin Piscitelli had a single, reached on an error, and had a stolen base. Gavin Walker had a triple and scored a run. Justin Kolpan had an RBI.

Raritan 9 Del Val 3

Game MVP Jack Cariddi was 3 for 4 with a triple, Run, and an RBI. Collin Becker also reached base 3 times.
